‘Om Muntasser lives in a house near Checkpoint 56 which leads to the center of H1 of Hebron. She has 5 sons and 4 daughters. ‘Om Muntasser is a strong woman, who works in a store, cooks in a school and just works extremely hard to give her family everything they need. In her younger years she used to work in a photo studio in Hebron so she knows a lot on photography. This picture with the dusty dangling legs of her grandson, on a muddy little alley, is one of my favourites. I walked this hilly slippery path every day, several times. This is where the Palestinians in Tel Rumeida, old and young, have to walk instead of on the paved road that is kept for Israeli, to reach their friends, neighbours and family.
